- From columbine to parsley the plant swap contained somethng for everyone. – Leni Santoro photo
Last Saturday, May 30, The Cutting Garden in Youngsville held a plant swap. People with extra plants and seedlings, be they flowers or veggies, were able to come and exchange their excess plants and starts. Several people took advantage of the plant swap; exchanging parsley for heirloom tomatoes or lillies and columbine.
In addition to swapping plants, the afternoon’s adventure included birthday cake – thanks to Rachel Keebler who brought along her cake to share.
The weather was perfect, the cake was great and it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends and gardening.
Domesticities and The Cutting Garden are located on Route 52 in Youngsville. To learn more go to http://www.thecuttinggarden.org.

We’re just beggining–we hope to begin planting in the fall if we can get the irrigation going, the plant swap sounds like an idea we might try, thanks! Jackie
