As Commander of VFW Tusten Highland Post 6427, I would like to remind all Americans of the tremendous sacrifices our brave Armed Forces personnel have made throughout history.
This day is not just another holiday, but one for saying thank you to any military person you may pass at any time.
We are remembering the thousands of men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice of their young lives. We should also remember those men and women who have endured trauma, both physically and mentally.
Remember that the Flag of our Nation still flies over a people who can voice their opinions without being arrested for disagreeing.
May God bless our country and the men and women who are serving.
