I, and others,have reviewed both the question and answer a few times and have been unable to determine where you get the idea that my answer had anything to do with the Israeli/Palestinian issue. We are all agreed that the response is a general guide to being well prepared for a debate and addressed no specific issue.
The only thing I can suggest is that you reread the question and response and, if you can, pinpoint where you think I was off the mark on answering the question.
Your response “Finding the middle road” (July 18) answered a questioner who wanted to know how s/he could avoid being called anti-Semitic (ethnically prejudiced) while criticizing Israeli political decisions.
The response was that there needed to be more respect by both sides in the Israeli/Palestinian crisis. That is a separate issue.
Hope you can clarify.
