Dear Editor,
I totally agree with the letter entitled “Lawsuits Divert Funds from Educational Needs.”
Unfortunately I didn’t fight.
I attended SCCC and failed by 2 points although, the director made profound errors on grading papers and many people went back to her and they were corrected.
My error was that I never went back to recheck my papers.
I was also told that I could meet up with her to discuss it, and when I came back to meet her, all of a sudden she couldn’t meet with me.
This was heartwrenching for me and I can only imagine how the others felt in the beginning of their last semester of this long, long degree term.
The entire semester all I heard was the threat of “We will kick you out” and “You will be out of here” if things are not done right.
Oh, and by the way, Dr Golladay is one of the most anti-social people I have ever come across. I have never met a college president that didn’t communicate with her students.
That in itself says a lot to me.
Sincerely,
Karen Higgins
