To the Editor:
Back by popular request, here is my holiday wish for you and yours: no matter your race, creed or color, listen and enjoy – and always remember those less fortunate.
From the now-shuttered Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, formerly broadcast on NBC, a group of New Orleans musicians led by Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews played the new version of the Christmas classic “O Holy Night” as part of “The Christmas Show” episode’s story line. The musicians are and continue to be Hurricane Katrina survivors who played on the show. The vignette was coordinated by the Tipitina’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping New Orleans musicians affected by Katrina.
Have a wonderful holiday…
