To the Editor:
The Sullivan County Human Rights Commission is supporting Governor Cuomo, Christine C. Quinn, Speaker of the New York City Council, and the recently formed gay rights coalition: New Yorkers United for Marriage in their combined effort to pass the Marriage Equality Act into law in order to provide the gay community here in Sullivan County and throughout the State of New York the same right to marry as everyone else.
We are informed that it will be a close vote.
Therefore, we ask everyone who supports this bill to contact and urge his or her State Senator to legalize same-sex marriage.
