MONTICELLO, NY (December 11, 2012) – The first day of Chanukah started off with lots of fun, food and games for children of all ages at the Monticello Landfield Avenue Synagogue Chanukah Balloon- Mania Funday.

The children were greeted by the Rabbi and his family as well as Dr. Professor Balloon-a-Kiss, who did a magical job making balloon sculptures, and Miss Sunshine the Clown, who painted Chanukah symbols on their faces.

The story of Chanukah was told followed by arts and crafts, and fun games. The day concluded with a delicious Chanukah Dinner, beginning with the lighting of the menorah and followed by serving traditional Chanukah food, including potato latkes.
