While not an “official” entry, Andrew Cummings was buried in the snow by his classmates creating a living but rather chilly snow sculpture.

Danielle Fredenburg puts the finishing touches on a goalie: The Class of 2011 took 1st place with “Ice Hockey."
LIVINGSTON MANOR – There’s nothing like a little snow to bring out the artist in the high school students at Livingston Manor High School.
The 51st Annual Livingston Manor Rotary Ice Carnival kicked off Saturday morning with a race against the sun as the Classes of 2010 through 2013 vied with each other to create the most intriguing snow sculpture of the 2010 carnival on ice.
Joining the chilly festivities were a lot of folks, young and old alike from the Cornerstone Community Youth Group of Grooville with “Ice Fishing.”
The theme of the 2010 Snow Sculpture Contest was “Winter Sports.”
And the winners are –
1st place – Class of 2011 “Ice Hockey”
2nd place – Class of 2010 “Skiing & Snowboarding”
3rd place – Class of 2012 “Sledding” and Class of 2013 “Snowmobiling”
Before the judging, 17-year old seniors Cody Wilkins on skies and Kyle Hendricks on his snowboard attracted quite an audience with their derring-do on the mini-slope fashioned by the classmates.
Off to the side, Andrew Cummings was convinced by some of his friends to play the part of a living snow sculpture as they buried him in snow. The funny thing about it, nobody asked him if he preferred the sand of a warm beach in the Caribbean to a pile of freezing snow.

Kaitlyn Hare adds a bit of color to a snowman: the Class of 2012 tied for 3rd place with “Sledding."
