KAUNEONGA LAKE – Think the Bat Car, Batman’s ride in the classic D. C. Comics strip on the funny pages or dog-eared comic books, and you’ll get a pretty good idea of what a race car in the Sportsman Division looks like.

#280 closes in on #80 as they enter the turn by the pits.
On short asphalt ovals such as Bethel Motor Speedway, the large sail panels used when racing on dirt tracks are removed, and a couple of options are permitted: cars can weigh 2450 lbs with driver, or 2400 pounds with a driver, depending upon the engine.
