KAUEONGA LAKE – Chris Young, “The Young One,” is a 15-year old Legends river from Long Island.
Before coming up to Bethel Motor Speedway, he raced seven times at Riverhead and in his first time on the local oval track placed third.
As the 2009 season drew to a close, he took the coveted checkered flag in first place, blowing the doors of the competition.
Young, who started racing about a year ago, said of his recent win, “Tonight I got the pole again, it was the luck of the draw.”
The Young One’s take on BMS?
“It’s amazing, now I’m up here racing with all my friends…without my sponsors this wouldn’t be possible.”
