GRAHAMSVILLE – It was all over by 17 minutes and five seconds into the match.
In Thursday afternoon’s boy’s varsity non-league soccer game between the home team Bears of Tri-Valley and the Liberty Indians, the visitors scored two unanswered goals in the first four minutes of the game, as Ben Grisafe beat the

Harnish scored unassisted at 15:22, and followed up with his second goal off the match off an assist from Franke at 17:05 on the way to Liberty’s 4-0 victory.

“We started off poorly, and it fell apart,” said Bob Ackeley, coach of the Bears (1-7 overall, 0-3 league).
Tri-Valley took to the field minus a couple of key players; Anthony Beale, one of the squad’s leading scorers, and Josue Ramos, sidelined with a broken finger.
“”You can’t spot them fours points and expect to win…it took us a while to get settled, and we let them get two quick goals,” said Ackerly, adding that “if we play our game”, he hopes Tri-Valley can win six-some league matches to wrap up the regular season.
Andrew Cross anchored the goal for Liberty, while Eugene Morton took to the field as the Bears starting goalie until relieved late in the game by Tyler TerBush so he could get some minutes in the net.

“We communicated very well, we passed the ball nicely and we had every member of the team participating in the play making today,” said Debora Simpson, coach of the Indians (5-4-1 overall, 1-1-1 league). “We worked together as a team and got it done.”
