SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY (February 3, 2014) – The National Weather Service In Binghamton Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch Which Is In Effect
From Late Tuesday Night Through Wednesday Evening.
* Locations…Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, Susquehanna Region, Western Catskills And Twin Tiers.
* Hazards…Moderate To Heavy Snow. * Accumulations…Potential For 6 To 10 Inches Of Snow.
* Timing…After Midnight On Tuesday Night And Continuing Through Wednesday. * Temperatures…In The Lower 20S Tuesday Morning Rising Into The Upper 20S During The Day.
* Winds…East Winds Around 5 Mph Late Tuesday Night Becoming Northerly Around 10 Mph On Wednesday.
* Impacts…Potential For Hazardous Travel Conditions Tuesday Night And Wednesday.
A Winter Storm Watch Is In Effect Because Heavy Snow Is A Possibility…But Not A Certainty.
At This Time…There Is The Potential For Snow Accumulations Of 7 Inches Or More. Travel Conditions Could Become Hazardous…So It Is Important To Monitor The Latest Forecasts And Statements If You Are Planning To Travel In The Watch Area.
