* At 435 PM EDT…Doppler Radar Indicated Heavy Rain Was Falling… And Will Result In Minor Flooding.
* Locations In The Advisory Include But Are Not Limited To East Branch…Peabrook…Callicoon…Hazel…Hortonville…Livingston Manor…Roscoe…Forest City…Royal…Archbald…Carbondale… Clarks Green…Clarks Summit…Dalton…Dickson City…Dunmore… East Benton…Elmhurst…Fleetville…La Plume…Mayfield…Mount Cobb…Olyphant…Scranton…Tompkinsville…Wallsville… Waverly…Bethany…Equinunk…Pleasant Mount…Prompton… Rutledgedale…Stalker…Waymart…Hankins And Fremont.
Heavy Rain From Thunderstorms Continues To Move Into The Advisory Area…Which May Cause Minor Flooding Of Small Streams And Culverts. Additional Rain May Move Into The Area Later This Afternoon Resulting In More Significant Flooding.
If Conditions Worsen…A Flash Flood Warning Will Be Issued.
A Flood Advisory Means That Although Streams And Creeks May Be Elevated Or Even Rise Out Of Their Banks…Property Damage Will Be Minimal. Inconveniences Can Be Expected But The Flooding Will Not Be Immediately Life Threatening. Small Creeks And Streams Will Flood Quickly…Possibly Covering Roads And Flooding Nearby Low Areas.
