NARROWSBURG & ALL OVER (January 12, 2015) – Delaware Valley Arts Alliance is launching a new online gallery space for 2015 named the Bgallery. The web based gallery, curated by Phyllis Bilick, will debut with an exhibition titled “The Impact of Color,” a colorful conversation.
Building upon our established physical spaces, Alliance & Loft Galleries, the Bgallery is an electronic web based gallery overseen by site director Phyllis Bilick which will host curated exhibitions, themed exhibitions, and invitational exhibitions. It will also be a forum to feature single bodies of work, as well as challenging concepts and ideas. The purpose of the online Bgallery is to have a curatorial dialog where artists worldwide submit purely to be part of the selected discussion by using their images/artwork. Artists’ contact information will be included on the site and people interested in the art or the artist can contact the artist directly. There is no entry fee.
The artwork will be exhibited electronically at www.artsalliancesite.org/alliance-gallery/b-gallery/. It will also have a physical presence at the DVAA on Narrowsburg’s Main Street in the form of a computer monitor that will always be on view with a slide show of the selected works. The Bgallery exhibitions will change a number of times throughout the year. Guidelines and information for upcoming shows will be posted on the Bgallery site at www.artsalliancesite.org/alliance-gallery/b-gallery/.
Artists will also be notified by email of upcoming themed or curated shows. Selections are wholly at the discretion of site director. New will coincide with opening receptions at the Alliance and Loft Galleries at the DVAA.
The first themed Bgallery exhibition is titled “The Impact of Color,” which will open Saturday, February 7.
